Obamas to Plant White House Vegetable Garden →
Why can’t cool people like the Obamas live in our neighborhood?
On Friday, Michelle Obama will begin digging up a patch of White House lawn to plant a vegetable garden, the first since Eleanor Roosevelt’s victory garden in World War II. There will be no beets (the president doesn’t like them) but arugula will make the cut. While the organic garden will provide food for the first family’s meals and formal dinners, its most important role, Mrs. Obama said, will be to educate children about healthful, locally grown fruit and vegetables at time when obesity has become a national concern.

I just started listening to these hilarious guys after meeting them at SXSW this past weekend. It has quickly become my favorite podcast. I kept laughing out loud while listening at work. They were giving out free vitamin water today. Street promo review #2: red- acai blueberry pomegranate, xxx, antioxidant, red coats your tongue like cough syrup, also flavor of cough syrup in koolaid, therefore red undrinkable regardless of antioxidant power. Yellow- tropical citrus, better tasting than red, did not feel more energy, chemical fruit, slight tongue coating, almost (but still not) drinkable. Over all- too many ingredients to be called water, 15 calories, unnatural colors, chemical toxic fruit, no energy or xxx. Do not buy. Get your vitamins from real food.
My last Tex-Mex before leaving Austin. Breakfast tacos are things that make me go Mmmmm.
I’ve only been in Austin a little over 24 hours and I’m already totally sick of chips and salsa.
