On The Cutting Edge of Yesterday

Getting ready to go to Mississippi and New Orleans for a few days.  I’m preparing for it to be a huge culture shock.  Probably even more of a shock than I experienced in China.  At least in New York there is Chinatown for some preparation.  Too bad we don’t have a Little Mississippi.  

This is the most romantic dance I’ve ever seen. The controlled lifts with all that playful passion gives me butterflies.  My favorite part is when he’s holding her while she pedals with her feet flexed.  Stunning.

This is probably the first time I am upset about a celebrity death.  How can this be true?  I just met him two weeks ago.  I’m in denial.  

I didn’t even think twice about MJ.  But today my heart hurts.  :(

RIP Billy Mays.

Salvatore saying goodbye to his wife, my grandma, in 1952.  They were recently married.  While he was on board his ship, my grandmother gave birth to their first child, my dad.  My grandfather got a telegram that announced his wife had a baby, but it did not say if it was a boy or girl.  He had to wait until he returned home from service to find out he had a son.
